Purple and Pink - Wonderful Handmade Wednesday on Indiemade - October 7, 2015

Yesterday, the Chihuahuan Desert received a lot of rain . . . well, a lot for here.  The day was dark and gloomy, which was quite the welcome change from our normal day after day of sunshine.  But, as the sun was going down, the clouds broke to the west and brilliant sunlight flooded the Franklin Mountains, Mount Cristo Rey and the mountains way off in Mexico.  The mountains turned the most amazing shades of purple (from almost black to lavender) in the folds of the ravines and pinks (from pale to almost neon) on the elevated areas.  It was truly beautiful!  But, before I could get my camera and get outside to take a photo, the color feast for the eyes was gone.  Such is the magical light show here.

So now you know why I chose the color combination of purple and pink for today's "Wonderful Handmade Wednesday on Indiemade."  So many pretties to choose from! Here is a representation of the purples and pinks I saw yesterday, handmade creations from many talented artists on Indiemade.
